Dr. Jonathan Stube, LPC (he/him)

Jonathan is a licensed professional counselor and the owner of Centre Counseling and Wellness, LLC. He works primarily with adults and couples. He received his masters and Ph.D. in counseling from Penn State. In addition to advanced Ph.D. training, Jonathan received specialized training to treat, anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and BPD. He also has specialized training to help couples repair their relationships. He integrates a variety of empirically supported treatments with a compassionate and empathic approach to help clients heal and grow. Jonathan is passionate about helping you live a vital and full life.

Dr. Celina Grassmyer, PhD (she/her)

Celina is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their families. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Penn State, and is trained to work with individuals under 21 years old experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and trauma-related disorders. When working with individual kids and teens, she generally conducts therapy following a cognitive-behavioral approach (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT). This means she focuses on teaching coping skills (or how to cope with unhelpful thoughts and feelings with our mind or with our behavior) and helping individuals live a more meaningful life. She also has extensive experience working with families of children who struggle with emotional outbursts and disruptive behavior, including coaching caregivers on how they can better respond to and manage their child.

Katelyn Harmon, MA, NCC (she/her)

Katelyn is a pre-licensed therapist working primarily with adolescents (beginning at age 12), young adults, and family members of her clients. She earned her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies at the Pennsylvania State University, and obtained her graduate degree from Edinboro University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Katelyn will be eligible for her license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in November of 2024, and is working to obtain a certification in Dialectical and Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to offer support for clients who struggle with emotional dysregulation and a lack of emotional literacy. Prior to joining the team at CCW, Katelyn worked as a therapist on an inpatient psychiatric unit that specialized in child and adolescent behavioral care. As a result of her experience in the inpatient setting, Katelyn is well versed in crisis management, trauma-informed care, family therapy, and the neurosequential model of therapeutics (NMT). Katelyn utilizes specific modalities tailored to client needs, including Solution-Focused Therapy, DBT, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Katelyn understands a holistic approach to mental health is a critical component to understand a client’s needs and lived experiences; she works alongside supports and a client’s treatment team to provide safe, validating, and effective care. Katelyn uses her sense of humor to build rapport, and values a strong sense of empathy and validation when working with clients.

Kristen Ashton, MA, NCC, LAPC (she/her)

Kristen enjoys working with individual adults, couples, and families facing a wide variety of challenges. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from Messiah University, with a specialization in marriage, couple, and family counseling. Kristen utilizes an integrative approach of empirically supported counseling techniques but also focuses on making sure each person feels seen, heard, and empowered in the midst of their struggles. She has a passion for helping clients work through anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, life transitions, spirituality, and identity development. Kristen welcomes the opportunity to walk alongside you in your journey of growth and healing.

Jess Garrity, M.Ed, CRC, NCC (they/she)

Jess is a pre-licensed professional counselor who is committed to making counseling accessible to diverse communities. They use a humanistic, person-centered approach to tailor counseling to the varied needs of unique individuals and their intersecting identities and communication abilities. Jess specializes in counseling with LGBTQIA+ communities and adults with disabilities (including neurodivergence and intellectual disabilities). She earned her M.Ed in Counselor Education from Penn State with emphases in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. Jess welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with clients to help them learn and grow while navigating through anxiety, stress, new parenthood, life transitions, depression, gender identity, disability identity, and grief/loss.

Sara Neild, M.Ed., NCC, LAPC (she/her)

Sara is a pre-licensed professional counselor practicing under supervision. She works with older children (10+), adolescents, and college students. Sara earned her master’s in counselor education with an emphasis in school counseling from Penn State in 2018. Prior to that, she was a teacher and has extensive experience in schools and addressing challenges in the academic setting. She is particularly interested in working with individuals experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and LGBTQIA+ issues. When Sara is not at work, she enjoys reading, spending time outside, crocheting, and hanging out with her cat.

Matt Greer, MA (he/him)

Matt is a pre-licensed professional counselor who enjoys working with clients of all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds. During and after the completion of his master’s degree in clinical mental health from Liberty University, Matt’s theoretical orientation became grounded in the belief that clients already possess the tools necessary to help themselves grow and heal. Matt enjoys becoming a catalyst for that healing process while allowing his clients to lead, tell their stories, and find their own paths to betterment. Matt is also passionate about music and the arts and enjoys leveraging these modalities when working with his adolescent and child clientele. His clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, OCD, ODD, PTSD, and related disorders. Matt is intentional about providing a comfortable space for his clients to release, reflect, and heal through cognitive restructuring, exposure therapy, skill development, humor, and an empathetic helping relationship. During his free time, Matt enjoys gaming, performing music at local restaurants, and spending time with his family, friends, and his Siberian Husky.

Chelsea Hoffman, MA, LPC (she/her)

Chelsea is a licensed professional counselor who enjoys working with older adolescents, college students, and adults. She welcomes all diversities and is an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. Chelsea earned her master’s degree in applied clinical psychology from Penn State and holds a certificate in advanced graduate studies in clinical mental health counseling from Messiah University. Chelsea works best with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma symptoms, grief/loss, stress management, and disordered eating. Her therapeutic style is eclectic and incorporates aspects of CBT, DBT, MI, attachment-based, and strength-based, and she has basic training in EMDR. Her approach is collaborative, encouraging, person-centered, and goal-oriented. Chelsea works hard to create a safe, non-judgmental, and relaxed environment to help individuals feel comfortable. In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys spending time with family and friends and snuggling with her dachshunds. 

Elizabeth Mason, MSW, LSW (she/her)

Elizabeth is a licensed social worker who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. She received her master’s degree in social work from NYU and began her career as a school social worker in an elementary school and a middle school. Elizabeth has had training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and Internal Family Systems and has worked with clients suffering from various traumas, anxieties, and challenges in their lives. Elizabeth is an empathetic, caring, compassionate therapist who believes in the power that lies within each individual to promote healing and wellness from within. A holistic approach to therapy allows Elizabeth and her clients to utilize various modes of therapy and to journey together on the client’s path of healing and health.

Matthew Ishler, M.Ed, LPC (he/him)

Matthew specializes in counseling adults who are experiencing depression, grief, anxiety, work stress, career decisions, family problems or general life difficulties. He sees our challenges and pain as opportunities for self growth. His approach is humanistic and person centered. He has a passion for serving people who may not feel like they are able to be their best selves, who may be struggling with connections within themselves or with relationships in their lives. Matthew is a National Board Certified and State Licensed Professional Counselor. Matthew looks forward to the chance to meet and to work with you within a safe and confidential space. He welcomes the chance to partner with you in building a more fulfilling life.

Brian Harr, MA, LPC (he/him)

Brian is a licensed professional counselor who works with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. He received his Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. He uses an integrative approach to counseling, combining a variety of therapeutic techniques in order to meet a client’s specific needs. Brian believes in placing emphasis on the relationship between the client and counselor and works hard to create an environment that leads to exploration, healing, and growth. He works with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, stress, as well as couples and families who seek guidance and support. Brian also has a special interest in serving clients and couples who are struggling or have struggled with infertility and pregnancy issues, clients struggling with grief and loss, working with couples and families, and working with clients that wish to explore their spirituality.

Kelly Berthold, MSW, LCSW (she/her)

Kelly is a licensed clinical social worker who works primarily with older adolescents and adults at Centre Counseling. She received her master’s degree in social work from University of Pittsburgh. Kelly has had training in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), and MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy), and works with clients to help foster a balance of acceptance and change into their lives, whatever their challenges. Kelly enjoys working with individuals of all backgrounds and experiences, including anxiety and depressive disorders, grief and loss, life-stage and adjustment difficulties, personality disorders, attention challenges, mindfulness coaching, and more. Kelly accepts her clients and meets them where they are in their journey, and utilizes a holistic approach while providing relevant psychoeducation and skills to support clients in desired change attempts. Kelly is currently seeing clients via telehealth only.

Mandy Milner, MA, LPC (she/her)

Mandy is a licensed professional counselor who loves to help her adult clients work through “stuck points” toward living a fuller, more intentional life. Mandy received her MA in community counseling from Slippery Rock University, and has worked at 6 different universities in counseling and other student-focused roles. As a therapist, Mandy works to create a personalized space for each client to safely and courageously meet their goals–through empathy, warmth, collaborative skill building, and some humor. She works with adults across the lifespan dealing with a variety of issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, identity integration, increasing self-worth and self-compassion, navigating transitions, and improving relationships and communication. When Mandy is not at work, she enjoys reading a great book, sipping tea, knitting, playing board games, watching The Great British Bake Off, visiting new places, and living ordinary moments alongside family and friends. 

Sarah Hall, MSW, LSW (she/her)

Sarah is a licensed social worker who works with adults and the geriatric population.  She received her masters degree from Rutgers University of New Jersey and began her career working in geriatric psych.  Sarah defines herself as a generalist but is passionate about working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, LGBTQIA+ issues, gender identity issues,  life-stage stresses and loss and grief.  Sarah is insightful and caring, meeting her clients where they are without judgment in order to build a safe and strong relationship based on trust.  Sarah is excited to assist you in living the type of life you want to live.  

Dr. Rachel Love, PhD (she/her)

Rachel Love, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist originally from New Orleans. She completed her Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology at the University of New Orleans. Dr. Love has a specialty in working with children ages 0-5 and helping parents with behavior management, emotion coaching/cueing, and supporting development. Dr. Love also works with children through adolescence and is trained in both Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Dr. Love can do assessments for Autism, ADHD, and general psychological evaluations. Services focus on the child as well as supporting the family framework and parent/child relationship. Additionally, Dr. Love coordinates with other supports and providers working with the child and family.  She believes in meeting families where they are and working collaboratively to help kids and parents meet their goals.

Lena Zimmerman, MSW, LSW, CCPT (she/her)

Lena is a Licensed Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional practicing in the State College area. She has experience working in child welfare and mental/behavioral health in the outpatient, inpatient, and home settings since 2014. She earned her MSW in 2018 and was licensed in 2021. Her focused population is children, adolescents, and young teenagers ages 5-14 struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, PTSD/C-PTSD, grief, self-harm, self-esteem, abuse, family interventions, generational trauma and more. If Lena has learned anything in life, it is to not believe everything you hear. She doesn’t know where people heard this, but there is no expectation that a person must get through this life alone and without help. Her mission is to work with individuals and offer a safe place to process and learn their truth. Nobody deserves their truth to be left unheard.

Hillary Goldsmith, MSW, LSW (she/her)

Hillary is a Licensed Social Worker serving the greater State College area. She has been working as a Dual Diagnosis Therapist since 2019, contributing to the wellness of adults who suffer with mental health and/or substance use challenges. While Hillary considers herself a generalist and enjoys working with a wide range of symptomatology and disorders, she is most passionate about adults who suffer with personality disorders, substance use challenges (both directly and indirectly), anxiety, depression, and PTSD/C-PTSD. Hillary offers a safe, welcoming environment for clients to process trauma and emotional distress while understanding their own strengths, resilience, and identity as someone willing to heal. Clients who work well with Hillary apply DBT, Reality Therapy/Choice Theory, CBT, and REBT modalities into their life, as well are able to tolerate her often very thick NYC suburbia accent and her love for Rutgers University Scarlet Knight Football.

Victoria Luse, MSW, LSW (she/her)

Victoria is a licensed social worker who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and the people who love them. She earned her master’s degree in social work from Edinboro University. Before coming to CCW, Victoria worked with children and parents at Centre Safe where she was the Children’s Advocate and Parent Counselor. In this role, she provided trauma-informed counseling to survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, harassment, and stalking. Victoria focuses on a client’s strengths and their safety both physically and emotionally.  She has a passion for ensuring that clients who share their thoughts and experiences feel heard and validated. Victoria understands that each client’s story is unique to them and it deserves to be shared on their terms, without pressure or judgment from those listening to it. Although she primarily works with children and adolescents, she has experience working with people of all ages, ethnicities, and identities. Victoria is eager, passionate, and always willing to learn something new so she can best help her clients.

Kelsey Williams, M.Ed., NCC, LAPC (she/her)

Kelsey is a pre-licensed counselor practicing under supervision, who works with older adolescents (16+), college students, and adults of all genders and backgrounds both in-person and via telehealth. Kelsey welcomes and wholeheartedly supports those in the LGBTQIA+ community, and honors the diverse experiences, beliefs and identities that each person brings into the counseling room. She earned her M.Ed in counseling from Penn State in 2022, and enjoys supporting individuals living with anxiety, depression, shame, grief, transition stressors, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, complex trauma, overwhelm and relationship struggles. While some suffering is a part of life, Kelsey will work with you to identify and help relieve unnecessary and extreme suffering you may be experiencing. She uses an experiential talk therapy approach influenced by ACT, DBT, IFS, and the Enneagram (a personality framework) and incorporates somatic practices, emotional experiencing, mindfulness and acceptance throughout sessions. Additionally, she offers Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a 12-session, evidence-based treatment for PTSD, two-session Enneagram typing interviews, and has received specific training in Career Counseling. Kelsey also loves being outdoors, playing board games, expressing creativity, talking with friends and drinking coffee!

Heather Stube, MSW, LCSW (she/her)

Heather is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in counseling adults and older adults via telehealth. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Widener University, and has been clinically licensed since 2005. Heather takes an integrative approach to counseling based on the needs of the client, while always focusing on the strengths that lie within each and every one of us. Heather is here to support those dealing with increased stress, major life changes, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief, caregiver stress, chronic health issues, and those with spiritual concerns, as well as many other issues. She has worked with adults of various ages, social and cultural backgrounds, and gender and sexual identities, and strives to be inclusive and culturally competent. Heather welcomes the opportunity to walk with you and support you through this journey called life!
